AstaReal AB is a research based biotech company, dedicated to the production, research and marketing of natural astaxanthin. AstaReal has distinguished roots, spinning off from Uppsala University 25 years ago.

The astaxanthin of AstaReal is produced by an unique cultivation method for the unicellular alga Haemaotoccus pluvialis to yield the highest and purest form available of natural astaxanthin. AstaReal is offering the market both its retail products Astaxin and Astavita as its bulk materials AstaREAL® (AstaReal®)

AstaReal AB, is part of the AstaReal group, which is whole owned by the pharmaceutical company Fuji Chemical Industry CO from Japan. One marketing office in Japan (AstaReal Co) and one in the USA (AstaReal Inc) are also included in the AstaReal group.
